Buffy Floral Top in Season 6 Episode "Wrecked"

In the season 6 episode "Wrecked", Buffy can be seen wearing a gorgeous floral top by the brand Rozae Nichols. The label is seen several other times, in past episodes, but this is the first glance we get at this particular top. The blouse has a floral embroidered pattern and a beaded embellishment in the upper right corner. A truly stylish ensemble!

Spotted: Buffy's Floral Blouse in After Life

Thanks to the fine detective work, conducted by Jinx03, Buffy's floral blouse from the season six episode After Life has been spotted.

The blouse is by Kataylone Adeli, is beige in color, has an off centered neckline and is adorned with subtle floral print.

Buffy may still be in her own personal hell on Earth, but her fashion is still on point.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Friends had More in Common than You Think

Buffy does not appear pleased

Who would have thought Rachel Green & Buffy Summers had similar taste in fashion. Well, at least in one episode. While getting the stink eye from Brad Pitt in the Friends episode "The One with the Rumor", Rachel Green wears a Laundry by Shelli Segal lace bell sleeve top. That same year, Buffy Summers wore the same top in the Btvs episode "Smashed". Both aired in November of 2001.

In a BBC interview with Cynthia Bergstrom, head wardrobe stylist for Buffy, she mentions that the Laundry Lace top was borrowed from the Friends wardrobe team. So in fact, Buffy and Rachel are not only wearing the same designer and style, they are actually wearing the exact same top. Special thanks to Obscurebookwyrm who reminded me of this fact.

Willow: "How come you didn't tell me I look like a crazy birthday cake in this shirt?"

In a different Friends episode, Phoebe can be seen wearing Willow's "birthday cake" shirt (Photo Credit). With the numerous costume changes that occur, cast members are bound to wear the same designer tops. But it is still fun to spot.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Setting the Trends

During its seven years on the air, Buffy the Vampire Slayer managed to set many a trends in the media and in the public. And can you blame us? With the stylistic eye of head costume designer, Cynthia Bergstrom, the cast was dressed in the best designer apparel.

I have no defining proof, but I'm pretty sure Btvs sparked the leather fad during the late 90's. Even Ross Gellar of Friends purchased a pair of leather pants in Season 5 Episode 11 of Friends.

I myself owned three pairs of faux leather pants, in the late 90's: a pair in brown, burgundy and black. But that could have also have been because I was (and still am) a die hard Buffy fan so naturally I looked to her for a few style cues. How many pairs of leather pants did you own?

Let's face it. Btvs has a lot of awesome style and quality brands to boot. One example is in the episode "Life Serial" where Buffy can be seen wearing a blouse by the now infamous designer Jane Mayle.

The adorable, silk top is from the Mayle Spring 2002 collection and features a center cutout of a female silhouette similar to the logo usded on the designer labels. The top comes in black and navy, but I believe Buffy wears it in Navy.

Unfortunately, the Mayle clothing line closed up shop in 2008 and Jane Mayle now mainly does handbags. This top most certainly would have been an excellent piece to bring back into circulation.

I've seen a couple of these tops on ebay, but it isn't cheap. The Mayle clothing line also tends to run small and it is near to impossible to find sizes that range above a 6. A sad bit of truth for both fans of Mayle and Buffy.

Buffy: Life Serial Bustier & Cardi

Buffy looks like quite the authentic college student with her studious looking cardigan in the season 6 episode "Life Serial". I wonder what the "8" stands for. Inquiring minds want to know.

It isn't till Buffy is knocked to the ground that she removes the cardi and reveals the adorable, lace bustier underneath.

I'm not exactly sure who this top is made by. It certainly looks designer. My best guess would probably have to be Nanette Lepore. It is similar to tops they have made, and I know the wardrobe department has utilized the brand in the past.

I always like seeing Buffy's school attire. It switches her wardrobe up from her slayer clothing which mainly consists of sweaters and knee length trench coats.
