My Rebecca Taylor Fashion Addiction

One of the commonalities I have with Sarah Michelle Gellar is we both adore apparel by the designer Rebecca Taylor. I look forward to seeing the unveiling of their latest creations. Below I've posted my favorite outfits from their Fall 2014 collection.

The reason I enjoy Rebecca Taylor is because she adds a classic, feminine flirty, yet sophisticated look to her clothes. I have quite the list of designers I like, but Rebecca Taylor ranks as my number one favorite.

In January, of this year, I was fortunate enough to win a beautiful Rebecca Taylor blocked leopard pullover sweater and a book on Kate Moss' amazing modeling career. So beautiful! And the book made the perfect for my coffee table!

Rebecca Taylor's collections never disappoint. I look forward to seeing what she will unveil during the Spring / Summer show at NY Fashion. I hope to one day see her show in person, but for now, I know I will be tuning in to watch the live web cam.

For those interested, the NYFW Spring / Summer 2015 Show is scheduled Sept. 4, 2014 – Sept. 11, 2014. I'll be sure to post the schedule for my "Must See Fashion Show Picks" when the date nears.

Flashback: Meeting Anthony Stewart Head & Clayburn Moore

In my closet, I have some random boxes for storage, because keeping clothes in there is just silly. Included in the mix, is a box with some of my old Buffy action figures from the Moore 2000 collection.

All together I have eight Buffy action figures which includes 3 different Buffys, Angel, Angelus, The Master and 2 different Willows.

Man, does that bring back memories. I remember buying four action figures at this one comic book store. That day, they had the designer, Clayburn Moore, in for autographs. He is such a nice guy.

Me and Clayburn Moore back in 2000.

That year, I also met Anthony Stewart Head who played Giles. He was super awesome! I waited in line, with a friend of mine, for about 2 hours. The line was wrapped completely around the comic book store and it was totally worth it.

I remember being super nervous. I was so nervous in fact that I forgot to tell him my name so he could personalize it. I brought my Buffy yearbook so he could sign the cover.

I love his sense of humor! Prior to signing, he told me it is tradition to sign yearbooks with "Have a nice summer", and with his signature, he did just that! I still have that autographed Buffy yearbook, to this day.

Buffy Gameboy Color Revisited

Walking down memory lane, today. I found my old Gameboy Color. It has been soooo long since I last turned it on that the batteries crusted over inside. As a result, the darn thing wouldn't turn on.

I decided to press my luck and take a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and clean it. What's the worst that can happen? I hoped it would allow the new batteries to power through. Surprisingly, it worked!

I don't really have any use for it, anymore. As it was, I basically only played it while on family vacations and that was over 14 years ago. All things considered, it is actually in REALLY good condition. Especially compared to the ones being sold on

Ebay. Tomorrow, I'm mailing it to my bff who is as much of a Buffy geek as I am.

90's Flashback: Grain of Rice Necklace

Does anyone else remember those Kiosks in the mall, during the 90's, where you could have your name written on a grain of rice. They would then put it in a bottle and make it into a necklace. Well, I still happen to have mine!

Here is a picture of the actual grain of rice necklace I wore as a teen. Since I was a HUGE Buffy nerd, it only seemed fitting that I would have my favorite BTVS character's name put on it. It was also the pin name I went by, when writing class notes to friends. We all used names from Btvs.

It's strange to know, that one day we will explain to our kids, "When I was your age, we used to put our names on grains of rice and make it into a necklace and that was fashionable".

Here's a look back at what a gigantic dork I was in high school. It's my spiral I used to write notes to friends while in class. We thought we were sooo sneaky by not signing our notes with our real names, despite the fact that I for some reason had name written on the back of the spiral.

This note is dated Jan. 12, 2000. Like most people, I wasn't a big fan of Wesley, at the time, due to his fuddy-duddy like nature in Buffy season 3. But overtime he grew on me and now I of course adore him.

90's Flashback: Prophesy Girl Btvs Halloween Costume

It's nowhere near Halloween, but I thought I would go ahead and share an old photo of me dressed as Buffy from the episode "Prophesy Girl". The photo was taken in October of 1999 at a Halloween party. I even whittled the stake, the prior night, since crossbows are a little hard to come by.

The outfit isn't completely accurate, but it is what I could afford to throw together, from what I already owned.

Have you ever dressed up as a character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer? If so, who did you dress as and from which episode? Feel free to share your comments and pictures in the comment section below.

Closet / Bedroom Tour

Here is a peak into my closet. Well, sort of. I currently have to use rolling clothes racks, due to spacial issues.

I can tell a dude totally designed the closet in my bedroom, because it is so freakin small! No joke, it is basically the size of a coat closet. You can see the door to it in the first photo.

When I find my new place, my number one requirement will for sure be a walk in closet. ♥

Package in the Mail

Omg! Look what arrived in the mail from Malaysia! It's my custom made organizer that I ordered through Etsy. I love it! This particular organizer was made by NotbookNotbuk.

I had ordered my blue 2015 organizer from Mod86Designery. I totally lucked out. Both sellers did an amazing job that produced professional looking results.

The best part is I can use the black and white one any year I want, because it has blank calendar pages for filling in the date.

Shopping with Mom

Picked up a few makeup items, while out shopping with my mom. I usually don't buy drugstore, because it seems like every other lipstick has been tested and sampled by some random consumer.

When I do buy makeup from the drugstore, I always carefully evaluate it to make sure the seal hasn't been tampered with and there are no indentations in the lipstick. The herps is something that I want to refrain from catching, at all costs.

Score! I ended up picking out some clear nail polish, hair product false lashes and some lipsticks.

Nerd Confession: Buffy Fandom

In 1999, while in high school, I started a Buffy fan page called the bronze.

It was somewhat popular and usually received a little over a hundred hits a day. The site isn't up, at its old spot, because geocities pretty much imploded. But I was able to snap a screenshot by using the internet database.

While running the site, my pen name changed quite a bit, but the one that stuck the longest was Rogue. I even wrote two pieces of fan fiction. If you ever need a good laugh, you can read the first part of my Buffy fanfiction here and the second part here.

I am still quite a big fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar and the show Buffy which is why you can expect to see quite a few fashion related posts on that topic. You can also expect to see True Blood related fashion posts.
