Willow Rosenberg's funky style on BTVS

Willow Rosenberg's fashion choices have quite a bit of growth throughout the seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. From plaid jumpers in season 1 to cool witchy vibes in season 7, Willow truly finds her own style.

And thanks to the help of IG user TV_Wardrobe, some of Willow's fun, funky tops have now been identified.

All four of the following tops are by the brand Custo Barcelona. First up, we have Willow's green geometric top from the Season 3 episode Earshot. During Willow's intense interrogation sessions, she can be seen wearing the cute top with a yellow bucket hat.

Here is a photo of the front and the back of the shirt, which is identical.

Another Custo Barcelona can be spotted at the start of the Season 3 episode Lovers Walk.

Much like the previous top, the front and back have identical patterns.

The trend continues in Season 4 as Willow is spotted in a Custo Barcelona top in the episode Beer Bad.

The final Custo Barcelona top that was spotted is from the Season 4 episode Beer Bad.

Thanks again to IG user TV_Wardrobe for identifying Willow's funky tops! Be sure to visit their IG page for more wardrobe spots from other TV shows!

Cordelia Chase's Blue dress from "The Wish"

I think I may have stumbled across the dress Cordelia wears in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 3 episode "The Wish". The dress appears to be by the brand D&G.

I had always suspected it was by that designer brand. The cut definitely fits their style.

The color appears to be a bit darker than the one Charisma Carpenter wears in the episode, but it could be due to room lighting or other circumstances. But the cut and everything else appears to be an exact match! I won't have a better idea, until it arrives.

The dress may also be from a different season, and therefore a different shade of blue. But I do believe that in the episode she is in fact wearing a D&G dress.

I'm happy to finally find this iconic dress. It's one of my all-time favorite Cordelia Chase fashion pieces that screams Queen C.

Buffy's Fleur-De-Lis Necklace

I've always been a fan of the necklace Sarah Michelle Gellar wears in some of her season 3 promotional photos for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It wasn't till recently that I came to find out that the symbol is called a Fleur-De-Lis.

The name translates to "flower of the lily." This symbol, depicts a stylized lily or lotus flower and has many meanings. Traditionally, it has been used to represent French royalty, and in that sense it is said to signify perfection, light, and life (Source).

At this time, I am having my very own custom made Buffy Fleur-De-Lis necklace made by Buffyprops on Etsy. The same seller who made my custom season 4 wooden stake. He is currently in the process of detailing the sculpted necklace piece, in preparation for the mold. When it is all said and done, I'll have a beautiful, custom made, silver necklace.

I'm thrilled to see how it will turn out. I don't have any progress pics, at the moment, but I'll be sure to keep you guys updated.

Rozae Nichols on Buffy the Vampire Slayer

A designer that can be seen featured on a few occasions in Buffy the Vampire Slayer is Rozae Nichols. One of the first spots I notice Sarah Michelle Gellar wearing the designer label was in the season 3 episode "The Wish".

While at the Bronze, Buffy can be seen wearing what appears to be a green, crushed velvet cami by the designer. The top features floral embellishments and a silk trim. The top, is of course, hard to find since it is now considered vintage.

Another Rozae Nichols top can be found worn by Buffy, yet again. In the season 2 episode, "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered",

In the episode, Buffy matches a scarf with a brown, velvet, Rozae Nichols leather strap cami. Buffy always did have a great eye for fashion.

Angel: "By the way, I really like your dress."
Buffy: "Yeah, yeah. Big hit with everyone."

And let's not forget about good ole Willow
In the season 7 episode, "Lies my Parents Told Me", Willow wears Rozae Nichols from head to toe.

Both the sheer red top and the floral skirt are by Rozae Nichols. For a gal who loves fuzzy sweaters, Will is surprisingly quite the fashion aficionado.

Buffy Christmas Traditions

Who plans to watch the Buffy episode Amends, this Christmas? I know I do, each year. :) One of my favorite episodes. I tear up, every time. It also contains some of my all-time favorite Btvs quotes.

"Strong is fighting! It's hard, and it's painful, and it's every day. It's what we have to do. And we can do it together." - Buffy, Amends

What are some of the holiday traditions, that you take part in each year?

Buffy Replicas

I'm such a nerd. I've always liked Sarah Michelle Gellar's necklace from her earlier promo photos so I decided to finally have one custom made. It is by the same seller who made my stake replica.

I can't wait to see how it turns out! Below is a picture of the necklace and the stake I purchased. I'll be sure to post pictures, once the necklace is made. It will be a while though, since it is being hand crafted. If you are interested in ordering custom Buffy props, the Etsy seller is BuffyProps. Just message him to made a custom order request.

Cordelia Chase: The Wish

Cordelia Chase wears some amazingly fashionable outfits in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I especially love her blue number from S03E09 "The Wish". I did some close scrutinizing over images from the episode, and it appears that the sweater Charisma Carpenter is wearing is by D&G.

The wardrobe department has dressed the cast in D&G before, so I'm pretty sure that I have spotted the sweater correctly.

In some scenes, it appears that the sweater is 3/4 in length, but later in the episode, Charisma has the sleeves un-scrunched, which reveals that it is in fact full length.

Both sweaters are also six buttons and both have a slight ridging the the edge. So it looks like this mystery is solved. I wouldn't be surprised if the dress was also by D&G. It most certainly has the same characteristics of dresses they have done in the past.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Setting the Trends

During its seven years on the air, Buffy the Vampire Slayer managed to set many a trends in the media and in the public. And can you blame us? With the stylistic eye of head costume designer, Cynthia Bergstrom, the cast was dressed in the best designer apparel.

I have no defining proof, but I'm pretty sure Btvs sparked the leather fad during the late 90's. Even Ross Gellar of Friends purchased a pair of leather pants in Season 5 Episode 11 of Friends.

I myself owned three pairs of faux leather pants, in the late 90's: a pair in brown, burgundy and black. But that could have also have been because I was (and still am) a die hard Buffy fan so naturally I looked to her for a few style cues. How many pairs of leather pants did you own?

Let's face it. Btvs has a lot of awesome style and quality brands to boot. One example is in the episode "Life Serial" where Buffy can be seen wearing a blouse by the now infamous designer Jane Mayle.

The adorable, silk top is from the Mayle Spring 2002 collection and features a center cutout of a female silhouette similar to the logo usded on the designer labels. The top comes in black and navy, but I believe Buffy wears it in Navy.

Unfortunately, the Mayle clothing line closed up shop in 2008 and Jane Mayle now mainly does handbags. This top most certainly would have been an excellent piece to bring back into circulation.

I've seen a couple of these tops on ebay, but it isn't cheap. The Mayle clothing line also tends to run small and it is near to impossible to find sizes that range above a 6. A sad bit of truth for both fans of Mayle and Buffy.
