Cordelia Chase's Blue dress from "The Wish"

I think I may have stumbled across the dress Cordelia wears in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 3 episode "The Wish". The dress appears to be by the brand D&G.

I had always suspected it was by that designer brand. The cut definitely fits their style.

The color appears to be a bit darker than the one Charisma Carpenter wears in the episode, but it could be due to room lighting or other circumstances. But the cut and everything else appears to be an exact match! I won't have a better idea, until it arrives.

The dress may also be from a different season, and therefore a different shade of blue. But I do believe that in the episode she is in fact wearing a D&G dress.

I'm happy to finally find this iconic dress. It's one of my all-time favorite Cordelia Chase fashion pieces that screams Queen C.

Buffy's Season 2 D&G Leopard Cami

As you may know, it is QUITE difficult to find screen accurate tops worn on the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But one of the easier Buffy items to find is the D&G leopard cami she wears in the season 2 episode Ted.

The top is cotton and leopard print. There are similar tops, by D&G, but the one Sarah Michelle Gellar wears has a keyhole tie near the neckline.

Buffy Makes a Fashion Switch in Time to Kick Vampire Ass

In season two episode one of Buffy, we see a return of a fashion favorite. Not surprisingly, even in Buffy's nightmares, she still manages to where designer brands. In this case, it's a blue lace trim car cardigan by D&G.

If a slayer has to go down, in battle, it might as well be while wearing some designer threads. One of the many things I admire about the show's wardrobe is the classic designers chosen for the cast. You can't go wrong with D&G.

The top seems somewhat out of the norm for Buffy's character. I can't recall many other instances where she is wearing a short sleeve cardigan. The sunflower applique has more of a Willow vibe than a Buffy stylistic choice, in my opinion. None-the-less, it is a cute sweater.

Later, Buffy pulls off quite an impressive wardrobe change as she pulls up to the school wearing a pink camisole just to be be seen wearing a pair of high waist-ed slacks and a white tank in the very next scene.

Either Buffy pulled a Clark Kent and made a quick change in a phone booth or production made a small continuity error.

But don't worry. The same pink camisole makes a return in time for the following school day. It's probably for the best since the hiked up pants were bordering soccer mom territory.

Cordelia Chase: The Wish

Cordelia Chase wears some amazingly fashionable outfits in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I especially love her blue number from S03E09 "The Wish". I did some close scrutinizing over images from the episode, and it appears that the sweater Charisma Carpenter is wearing is by D&G.

The wardrobe department has dressed the cast in D&G before, so I'm pretty sure that I have spotted the sweater correctly.

In some scenes, it appears that the sweater is 3/4 in length, but later in the episode, Charisma has the sleeves un-scrunched, which reveals that it is in fact full length.

Both sweaters are also six buttons and both have a slight ridging the the edge. So it looks like this mystery is solved. I wouldn't be surprised if the dress was also by D&G. It most certainly has the same characteristics of dresses they have done in the past.

Buffy's Love affair with D&G

Slaying doesn't exactly pay the bills, but yet somehow Buffy manages to own some of the best designer clothing. I guess we now know where Dawn learned her five finger discount method of shopping.

Both the top and the wool plaid pants Buffy wears at the beginning of Halloween are by D&G. The biggest giveaway, for the top, is the logo on printed the back. If only the rest of her amazing wardrobe was as easy to identify.
