Sookie Stackhouse Merlotte Shorts Identified

For those looking to make their Merlotte's uniform completely authentic looking, the teeny weenie, black shorts Sookie wears with Merlotte's uniform is by Old Navy.

The costume department bought a whole bunch of the shorts at the start of season 1 for Anna Paquin to wear throughout the seasons. The shorts, of course, are not easy to find, but here is a glance at the details for those interested in finding it.

Sookie Prepares for battle in her Madewell Jacket

In S05E12 & S06E01 Sookie Stackhouse wears a beautiful military style navy jacket from Madewell by J. Crew. The original jacket is hard to come by, but a close alternate is the J.Crew Downtown Field Jacket.

The only difference between the two jackets seems to be the snaps on the pockets. Sookie's has one snap per pocket and the Downtown field jacket has two.

Sookie Stackhouse Goes Designer with a Madewell Leather Jacket

A truly great piece, from Sookie Stackhouse's closet, can be seen in season 4 and 6 of True Blood. It is the Madewell Double Breasted Leather Moto Jacket. This gal has style!

It seems as though Sookie has stepped away from Forever 21 and progressed to grown up designer clothing. Ya can't stay 21 forever, especially when you're approaching 30. All you have to do is look at the jacket, and you can tell it is quality leather.

The Madewell Double Breasted Leather Moto Jacket is unfortunately no longer sold in stores. But it wouldn't be too difficult to find a similar looking moto jacket. Just search for Brown Leather Moto Jacket and a bunch of similar options will appear. A better selection is bound to come up, during the fall.

Hopefully, Anna Paquin's character will continue this trend of awesome designer clothing. We've seen her wear Diane Von Furstenberg, Rag & Bone, J Brand, French Connection and now Madewell. Only time will tell as we wait for the season 7 premiere of True Blood on June 22, 2014.

In season 6 episode 2 & 4 of True Blood, Sookie can be seen carrying a Copperpeace Whisky Concert Clutch. The adorable purse can be worn over-the-shoulder and cross-body. It can also be used as a clutch.

True Blood: Sookie's Soggy Designer Boots

While nearly drowning in S06 of True Blood, Sookie Stackhouse can be seen wearing an American Eagle black lace tank, a J. Crew Jackie in the color black, a Pins & Needles Floral Circle Skirt and a pair of Frye Taylor Short Boots in Cognac.

The majority of these pieces are not available in stores anymore. There is only a single size left in the Frye boots. *Sad Face* But the good news is that the J. Crew Jackie Cardigan in black is part of their permanent collection.

The J. Crew cardi can actually be seen in several episodes, throughout the show. I know one of the other times was in S04E04 when she wore the cardi with her Merlottes uniform. And who can blame her? J. Crew makes the best cardigans.

Sookie Steps up her Style with DVF

Another brilliant dress, Sookie Stackhouse wears, is during episodes 8, 9 & 10 of season 6. There is a reason Anna Paquin wears the dress in so many episodes. The dress is by the brilliant designer Diane Von Furstenberg.

The exact name of the dress Diane Von Furstenberg dress is the "Lace Zarita". The beautiful black, lace dress is still available at the official Diane Von Furstenberg store.
