Sookie Stackhouse Maternity Dress

For those who may be preggers you may want to check out this dress. During the season finale of True Blood, a very pregnant Sookie Stackhouse comes into frame. The dress is by Seraphine and is available at Amazon and Seraphine's Official web site.

I personally was hoping Sookie would end up with Eric Northman, but I guess a faceless stranger will have to do. And just FYI, even though the show has come to an end, this site will still remain running and operational with regular updates.

An outfit I've always liked of Anna Paquin is this simple yet adorable cotton, navy dress by Juicy Couture. Anna wore the dress at the Bam Benefit on Feb.12 2008.

The dress must have been a popular style, because it was re-released in 2010. The main difference between the dress Anna Paquin wore in 2008 and the dress from 2010 are the buttons.

Anna's has 6 gold buttons with the words "Juicy Couture" on it, while the re-released dress has 7 buttons with the Juicy Couture crown imprinted on it.

The dress is not easy to come by, but it does pop up, now and again, on Ebay and Poshmark.

Sookie Stackhouse's Sundress in "One Last Time"

In the S07E07 of True Blood, "One Last Time", Sookie Stackhouse can be seen wearing an adorable white sundress. The dress is by O'neill and is their Honalulah Sundress.

Tips & Tricks: How to find True Blood & Buffy Clothing Items

Sometimes is can be difficult to find certain outfits worn by our favorite characters. The outfits usually are no longer in stores so you have to resort to searching for it on Ebay or Poshmark. Well, I am now going to tell you some tips and tricks to finding outfits. This is how I have found many of my pieces.

The Search Begins

Let's start off by trying to find an outfit worn by Sookie Stackhouse / Anna Paquin from True Blood. For this example, we are going to search for with Sookie's Floral dress from Season one.

Keep Your Search Terms Vague

Now, we know the dress is by American Eagle so I'm going to type that in along with the words "floral" in the dress section. The key to this is to be as vague as possible. This is because a lot of people aren't very descriptive when listing their auctions.

This search produced 760 auctions. YIKES! That would take forever to go through so let's narrow that down a bit.

Include "Non Specified"

As you can see, Sookie's dress has short sleeves. So let's go ahead and limit the search to include dresses with "cap sleeves" and "short sleeves". We are doing this, because people often interchange the two so it's best to include both.

Remember what I said about being vague? While you're at it, go ahead and check the sleeve style "not specified". Often times, sellers do not fill in all the the subcategories in their listing. When narrowing your search, it is a good idea to include the subcategory "not specified". Now our search is down to 116 items. Much better.  Time to see if we struck gold.

The End Result

Well what do ya know. We've found the dress and with the starting bid of 99¢! Woohoo! Now, this isn't the only way to find outfits, from a tv show, but it's the way I find to be the most successful.

This tutorial can of course be applied to other clothing items, just keep these tips in mind: be vague & include "not specified" and you are more likely to be successful in your search.

Sookie Prepares for battle in her Madewell Jacket

In S05E12 & S06E01 Sookie Stackhouse wears a beautiful military style navy jacket from Madewell by J. Crew. The original jacket is hard to come by, but a close alternate is the J.Crew Downtown Field Jacket.

The only difference between the two jackets seems to be the snaps on the pockets. Sookie's has one snap per pocket and the Downtown field jacket has two.

Sarah Michelle Gellar's Fashion in Cruel Intentions

One fashion trend I miss dearly from the 90's would have to be the sleek slip dresses. Combine it with a floral print and you have the perfect dress. Sarah Michelle Gellar's devilish character, Kathryn Merteuil, wears a few slip dresses throughout Cruel Intentions.

The dress, in the photo above, was used for promotional stills and not during production, but is still beautiful none-the-less. It is by the infamous Betsey Johnson and comes in a few different variations. The dress reaches just past the knee and comes with or without lace around the neckline.

As you can see, Sarah Michelle Gellar wears the version with lace. It is made from 100% Rayon. The dress is not easy to come across, but pops up, now and again, on sites like Ebay.

A slip dress that was worn during production is by the designer Mark Wong Nark. The dress goes past the knee, is made of viscose and came in the colors black and brown.

I'm not certain which color Sarah Michelle Gellar wore, but judging by promotional stills and film footage, it appears she is most likely wearing the brown version.

If you ever wondered who made Kathryn's impecable sunglasses, the answer is Calvin Klein. You can even see the designer name on the side of the frames.

Just click on the photo above. If you look carefully, you can see the designer name on the right side of the frames. It would be near impossible to find the exact style worn in the film, but there are countless similar pairs sold in stores. Juicy Couture and Ralph Lauren make some nice alternate options. I plan to buy this pair by Tory Burch.

Buffy Summers Silk Lace Top from Season 7

Buffy: Willow, you’re a gay woman! And he... isn’t.

This outfit makes a quick appearance in the season 7 episode "Him". The top is a silk lace top by Nanette Lepore. The blouse appears purple, but it is actually blue. I know this, because I own the original screen worn top. 

During the later seasons, cast members a lot of times would pick their own outfits. I wouldn't be surprised if Sarah Michelle Gellar picked this top, because seems to be quite the fan of the designer.

What are the Best True Blood Quotes

It's so hard to pick just one quote from True Blood. The show is filled with such great lines. I particularly love Pam's sassy demeanor so I listed just one of her many great lines in the show.
